To Release “Control”

Human Wall

“The strength of the team is each individual member… the strength of each member is the team!”

(Phil Jackson, Coach, Chicago Bulls)

Coach Chris Heddles at ZigZag Circus, gave me a very good insight with a few simple words

“Stop having the need to control…”

Being the “flyer” in acro, you have to let the “base” control you and your body movements. Telling that to someone who’s always been working solo on pole and aerial…yeah…took a lot of work MENTALLY for me to NOT BACK OUT from standing on his shoulders!

Coach made me yell "I'm flying, Jack, I'm flying!" (-___-'')
A LOT....of concentration

Nonetheless, I extremely glad I didn’t back out (plus I would’ve ended up kicking myself in the arse since that was considered one of the easiest thing to do -___- ). It was an exhilarating experience and I’m definitely looking forward to more acro opportunities!

I've been told that I'm tiny but tough, so I must have gotten SOME things right. On the inside, I feel like a mushy marshmellow who's a hopeless romantic and find corny cute. Writing "About Me" sections had evolved in the past x years of online profiles, currently, it sits at me still hungry for enlightening experiences and insightful traveling, particularly with human connections. My story at full length on the "About" page :) Thank you for poking around!
